NEW ERA album review by Toni Cabrera
HOT CD: G.A.M.E.P.R.O./CNC - 'The New Era':
I recently was introduced to this hot new rapper named G.A.M.E.P.R.O. (Goodness And Maturity Equals Positive Reactions By Others) and y'all, let me tell you, this brotha is HOT! He finds the perfect balance between old shool and new school. He uses beats that remind you of the good old days in hip-hop when skill mattered more than bling and sales.
The track Better Days will make you think back to that vintage Tupac song that still makes your head bob every time you hear it. Look But Don't Touch is a perfect track for chillin' with your folks. I love the story behind it; a man stepping to a girl and her telling him he can look but he can't touch. Around The World - I swear this song could be the next Player's anthem. The word play on this song is fabulous. This is most definitly one of my favorite tracks on the album. On the track LOVE (another must have on your iPod!), this cat talks about that true, real love, the kind our parents used to tell us about. We all know in this whole 'It Ain't Trickin' If You Got It' mentality going on in hip-hop, it's so great to see an artist out there that believes in the same things us ladies do.
